This gives players a chance to build a nice amount of points, but restarts often enough to keep it fresh. The break down works well for serious pros and casual players alike. For the casual player you can simply play hard for a two month period, and take a break if you like. Where as the serious pro will not have their entire year affected from a small slump, but simply have one bad period.
The leaders at the end of each period, for each continent, advance to the elimination round. The elimination round is a series of heads up tournaments between period winners. These consist of a series of five heads up tournaments each between period 1 and 2, 3 and 4 then 5 and 6. This reduces the six period winners down to the three person continental teams.
Once the continental teams are set, the players advance to the online poker world championship main event. The main event consists of three tournaments. Each team sends one player to each tournament, and the aggregated score determines the winner. The winning team becomes the online poker world champion and the members get a sponsorship contract from judi online.
